Plan and execute the operational and technical aspects of simulated learning, simulation-based education, and scenario-based training for HealthForce Kentucky’s mobile simulation lab, Innovation Center, and educational partners. Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, update, and repair patient simulators, task trainers, medical equipment, and computer/audiovisual systems.

• Prepare, program, configure, clean, and operate simulation equipment before, during, and after training; support participants and adjust simulator responses during scenarios.
• Maintain equipment, software updates, warranty support, inventory, supplies, and storage. Support maintenance and loading operations for 53-foot mobile trailers.
• Create realistic simulation environments through room and faculty orientation, medical moulage, simulated conditions, and curricular anatomy models.
• Transport equipment securely to partner sites using company vehicles, including a 10-foot box truck.
• Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, Simulation Technology, Information Technology, Bioengineering, or Computer Science with four years of relevant work experience; or an associate’s degree with six years of related experience; or a high school diploma with eight years of related experience. A valid driver’s license is required.
• Preferred qualifications: CHSOS or CHSOS-Advanced certification and prior healthcare experience.
• Travel and physical requirements: Travel varies with the mobile simulation schedule and may reach 75%, including overnight stays. Transportation and accommodations are provided or compensated. Work outside usual hours may be required. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Funding: This position is grant funded; continuation is contingent upon future funding.
