Simulation Education Specialist

  • Location: Owensboro, KY (on-site)
  • Type: Staff, full-time (12-month)
  • Salary: $58,000–$62,000
  • Employer: KCTCS / OCTC

Serve as a Simulation Education Specialist for HealthForce Kentucky in collaboration with Owensboro Community & Technical College. Partner with faculty and content experts to design simulation-based training, train facilitators, and ensure INACSL and accreditation-aligned simulation standards are upheld across the Innovation Center and mobile programs.

  • Design, plan, and facilitate simulation events across the lifespan, including camps and OSCEs.
  • Train faculty in simulation development, facilitation, debriefing, and evaluation.
  • Collect and report data on learning outcomes; disseminate findings with faculty partners.
  • Requires a bachelor’s (6+ yrs experience) or associate’s (8+ yrs) in a healthcare field, plus active or previously held clinical license (RN, Paramedic, RT, RRT, Social Work, or similar). CHSE preferred.
  • Grant-funded, 12-month position. Travel up to 75% (transportation/accommodations provided).
